Amusing yet sad.....

My child's father has decided that he no longer wants even his every other weekend visitation. That is his loss, I am not upset by it, I've actually been expecting him to do this since we moved. However, how do you explain to a three year old that her father no longer wants her. I refuse to tell her that, can I say he is busy? He's at work? I don't want to hurt her, I know already this situation will hurt her, but how do I make it so she is okay??? I have to laugh because he has two soon to be stepchildren and I know this is why he is suddenly okay with not seeing his own daughter. I hope this doesn't scar her for life.....
